At only 21 years of age, Berklee College of Music student Fernando Ferrarone has already been a part of the GRAMMY® Jazz Band and Music for All’s Jazz Band of America, won a DownBeat Student Music Award as a jazz soloist winner on trumpet and alto saxophone, and appeared in the Next Generation Jazz Orchestra at the 2013 Monterey Jazz Festival (when he was 17). The Trio is rounded out by young New York drummer Chris Garriga and Peruvian bassist Mario Cuba.

New work by the Orlando playwright, with special appearances from superb local musicians. "A play by Joseph Reed Hayes is a welcome oasis of cultured smarts." - Orlando Weekly Following the 2015 overflow success of the White House production of Tom Waits For No Man, Hayes returns with a new work, Bucket Boy Featuring unexpected performances from drummer Mark Feinman (La Lucha) and poet Gloria Muñoz in a comic drama with music about “opportunity, bewilderment, and a basic inability to accept reality as it truly is”. Guest appearances from some of Orlando’s best musical talent complete the experience.

Works With Sounds student composition recital

The Timucua Arts Foundation offers a free composition class available to all who want to learn at the Melrose Center of the Central Orange County Library in Downtown Orlando.

Students from Timucua's music composition program, Works with Sounds, will have their pieces performed by professional musicians at this afternoon concert. Free and open to the public.
