Marius Tesch and Strings: Chopin’s Piano Concerto

Classical Series / Live at Timucua: When Chopin debuted movements of his piano concerto in his family’s apartment at the University in Warsaw, he would have done so in a setting much more intimate than the bombastic performances that we can hear today in concert halls filled with hundreds or even thousands of people.

Timucua is a perfect (and the only) place to perform this music that gets played often, but rarely in the right context. Listen to this concerto, the way Chopin heard it himself.
