Open House: Victor Chárriez, trombone (in-person)

Classical trombone player Victor Chárriez visits Timucua to present a night of classical trombone music.

Originally from Puerto Rico, Victor recently moved to Orlando to study with Luis Fred at the University of Central Florida for his master’s degree in Trombone. He continues to travel around the world performing, recently participating in the FOOSA Fresno Summer Orchestra Academy and visiting Costa Rica to perform with the UCF Trombone Choir.

Live at Timucua: Jeff Rupert Quartet (in-person)

Jeff Rupert, Pegasus Professor and Director of Jazz Studies at UCF, will perform a selection of jazz music with his quartet.

Rupert is a saxophonist, composer, record producer, and recording artist. Well regarded in the world of Jazz, he has been featured as a soloist on dozens of recordings, including Benny Carter’s Grammy-winning “Harlem Renaissance.” He has also made a number of his own recordings, often with the Jazz Professors, UCF Flying Horse Big Band, as well as renowned soloists such as Veronica Swift.
