Works With Sounds
Works With Sounds is a weekly program offered in the Melrose Center that combines music making with computer science. Students will create multimedia works of art using coding skills to sculpt audio and visuals.
Topics covered:
Fundamentals of music theory
Basic audio editing
Coding skills
The combination of visuals and music
Schedule: classes take place on Sundays from 2:00-4:00pm
Location: Melrose Center (2nd floor of the Orlando Public Library 101 E Central Blvd, Orlando, FL 32801)

Composer Jeremy Adams leads the class through examples and composition exercises exploring how sound and silence, organization and disorganization are used to create music.
This free class is open to all ages and skill levels. Come learn about music by composing your own in a supportive creative environment. Students should bring a pencil and paper or electronic device for taking notes and writing and drawing.
