Open House: Zoe McCray (In-Person)

A full recital entitled “Blackbird.”

Named after the famous song penned by Sir Paul McCartney, this hour-long recital will be a tribute to classical composers of color, as well as arias written with a Black female as the story teller. The recital will end with a special performance of McCartney’s Blackbird, a song he wrote in the height of the civil rights movement as a tribute to the plight of black women.

Zoe Renelda McCray is a soprano and proud member of “The Voices of Liberty” at Walt Disney World’s Epcot Park. She resides in Central Florida.
