New String Music by CF2

August 20, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Writing Music

Come hear brand new pieces brought to life for the very first time! Central Florida Composers Forum (CF2) was created to engage the creative community of Central Florida through the promotion of original and new music, education, workshops and outreach programs. CF2 features composers like Chan Ji Kim who has played in places like New Music Society concert in Seoul, Korea and is now Associate Professor of Music at the Brevard Community College in Florida and Keith Lay, voting member of the Grammys, who was hailed by Antonio Tommasini of the New York Times as “a composer to watch for.” Other featured composers are Eric Brook, Troy Gifford and Ryan McQuinn. The program will be performed by the Alterity Chamber Orchestra. Alterity Chamber Orchestra’s M[US]IC Chamber series features the principal members of Alterity Chamber Orchestra in different configurations, giving each member a chance to showcase their unique artistry. The orchestra will be directed by Chris Belt.
