Michael Bisio – Master Artist Outreach: Live Performance

Cutting-edge jazz bassist Michael Bisio – best known for his collaborative work with firebrands (and Timucua favorites) Matthew Shipp and Joe McPhee – will be taking part in the fall edition of New Smyrna’s Atlantic Center for the Arts Master Artist Residency Program. The BBC has hailed Bisio as “fleet-fingered and pitch-perfect,” and his various projects with Shipp and solo are required listening for fans of avant-garde jazz.
