JASON HUNT

Originally from Montclair, NJ, I have lived in Orlando FL since 1991 with my wife, Mary. My first professional show was in 1967. For over 20 years I primarily worked with oils and acrylic.

Over the last 30 years I have gravitated back to my first passion, which is line drawing with graphite pencil. The simplicity of a pencil helps me to capture and express life’s wide range of complex emotions. A simple pencil can explore endless shades of gray found between black and white. Most truth lies in the gray where we experience bits of pleasure & traces of pain.

In my drawings I strive to show how as humans, we are more alike than different. My goal is to portray life’s personal, quiet, and universal, moments in time. In fact, the title of my collection is ‘Moments in Time’.
