Authentic Selves Poetry Reading & Open Mic

October 16, 2022 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm EDT

Our featured poet for October is Erika Maya: Colombian, lover of narrative, short stories, free poetry, landscaping and horticulture.

“I write because through letters, I tell stories that unify collective memories; I try to give a happy ending to restore hope.
For me, writing is like a brush that magically paints a square with doves, an old hat that forgot the rabbit and flew off to some hill.”

This month’s event, Authentic Selves BILINGUAL EDITION is organized in Partnership with Descolonizarte TEATRO

Timucua’s monthly poetry and open mic series, Authentic Selves. Held the third Sunday of every month at Timucua. Hosted by Lauren White and Nadia Garzon. This month’s event is being organized by Aaron Moore Ellis as part of the global 100 Thousand Poets for Change.
