3rd Annual Accidental Music Festival Marathon!

Accidental Music Festival's Marathon AMF celebrates the emergence of Orlando as a hotbed of contemporary classical and creative music on May 12th. Featuring 18 ensembles and soloists performing a day-long concert of music almost exclusively by living composers at the SoDo Shopping Center, the event seeks to highlight the work of new and established groups dedicated to new music. This year there will also be family-friendly events during the day, including acoustic and electronic instrument petting zoos, where kids of all ages can test out instruments and learn about making electronic music.

Fernwood String Quartet

The Fernwood String Quartet has been formed by players of Timucua's own orchestra in residence, the Alterity Chamber Orchestra. The quartet focuses both on contemporary composers and on the repertoire from Joseph Haydn to the 20th century. All players - Caitlin Pequignot, Andreas Volmer, Daniel Cortes, and Hanrich Classen - also regularly play with other orchestras across Central Florida including the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra.

John Korbel is a Jazz Singer/Songwriter from Orlando, Florida. While living in his hometown of Philadelphia, John performed both as a solo artist, and with local bands where he developed his songwriting skills, and opened shows for major acts including Jay Leno, Blood Sweat and Tears, Asleep At The Wheel, and The Hooters.
